Learn about the history of the facinating and once prosperous Arabia Steamboat rediscovered 132 years after it perished in 1856.

Directions: The Arabia Steamboat Museum is located in Kansas City, Missouri at 400 Grand Blvd. between 5th and 3rd Street, minutes from I-70, I-29 and I-35. The large, green building is easily visible with plenty of free parking. Wheelchair access is on the west side of the building through the city market area via 5th St. and Walnut.

From the North:
From I-29 and I-35, follow the signs for I-35 south. Just as you enter the downtown area of Kansas City you will turn right onto the exit labeled #2F - Oak/Grand/Walnut. Continue on exit to Grand Blvd. Turn right. Continue driving north on Grand for two blocks. The museum is on your left side.

From the East:
Take I-70 west toward Kansas City. Just before entering the downtown area you will see highway signs indicating US Highway 24 - West. Bear right and follow US Highway 24 - West. About a mile later you will take exit #2F - Oak/Grand/Walnut to the right. Continue on exit to Grand Blvd. Turn right. Continue driving north on Grand for two blocks. The museum is on your left side.

From the South:
Travel north on I-35, following the signage north toward Des Moines. Exit on the Main Street exit - #2D. As you take this exit you will notice you are actually on 6th street. Continue east on 6th Street for 2nd stoplights to Grand Blvd. Turn left on Grand, driving north for 4 blocks. The museum is on your left side.

From the West:
Travel east on I-70 into Kansas City across a long, elevated bridge. Shortly after leaving the bridge, bear right and exit on the Main St. exit (#2D). As you take this exit you will notice you are actually on 6th street. Continue east on 6th Street for 2nd stoplight to Grand Blvd. Turn left on Grand, driving north for 4 blocks. The museum is on your left side.
