Powell Gardens is about 30 miles east of Kansas City on U.S. Highway 50.

From South Kansas City and Johnson County, Kansas
Take 435 East to 470 East to Highway 50 East in Lee’s Summit. Powell Gardens is 20 miles east of Lee’s Summit. The entrance is on the left (north) side of Highway 50. Approximate drive time from State Line Road is 30 minutes. See map.

From downtown Kansas City
Take Interstate 70 east toward St. Louis. Exit at Bates City. Take Highway Z south 13 miles to Highway 50. Turn left on Highway 50. Travel one mile; the Gardens’ entrance is on the left (north) side of Highway 50. Approximate drive time from downtown Kansas City is 50 minutes.

From Sedalia, and other points east of Powell Gardens
Take Highway 50 west toward Kansas City. Powell Gardens is 20 miles west of Warrensburg. The entrance is on the right (north) side of Highway 50. Approximate drive time from Sedalia is 50 minutes.
